Pianist Kotaro Fukuma pays homage to Franz Liszt with a concert at Villa Rot, dedicating himself to one of the most brilliant geniuses of Romanticism. Kotaro Fukuma is counted among Japan's most renowned concert pianists. In 2003, he won first prize and the Chopin Prize at the International Piano Competition in Cleveland. Since then, he has established his career across five continents.
In Germany, he has been invited to the Rheingau Festival, to "Rarities of Piano Music" in Husum, to the festival "On Black and White Keys" in Bremen, and to the "Mosel Musikfestival", where he has each time captivated enthusiastic audiences. As a soloist, he performs in major concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, and in Tokyo at the Suntory Hall. Beyond his solo work, he performs with renowned orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Dresdner Philharmonie, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo. He collaborates with distinguished conductors such as Francois-Xaver Roth and Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
