Concert MIRO

"I am time - MIRO sings Erich Kästner" is the name of the programme with which two musicians, MIRO (guitar and vocals) and Ralf Liske (guitar), will perform on 10 July 2025 at the Kunstkapelle Remplin.

MIRO is a musician, singer, lyricist and guitarist. A native of Dresden - the city where Erich Kästner spent his early years - MIRO turned to the poet and journalist's work, setting partly overlooked poems to music for the first time.

The duo's arrangements have a playful lightness that brings these hundred-year-old poems into the present. Kästner's words feel freshly written, given extra weight by MIRO's expressive voice. Together they capture the mood of our times with precision.

Here and there, MIRO's own songs slip quietly between the Kästner settings, becoming part of a vivid, poetic and narrative musical journey through the last century.
