Concert | Kaiserschmarrn and Gassenhauer

The Freiburg Cyprian Ensemble presents masterworks and rarities of chamber music from Vienna in the age of Beethoven - and celebrates its 15th anniversary at its birthplace, Rheinfelden.

The ensemble was founded in 2011 on the initiative of pianist Carl-Martin Buttgereit. Its instrumentation includes trumpet, trombone, wind quintet, string quartet, double bass, and piano - a combination that allows for the performance of rarely heard chamber music in varying orchestrations. The ensemble's members include musicians from the SWR Symphony Orchestra, principal woodwind soloists from the Freiburg Philharmonic, and winners of international competitions.
