Daniel Stelter Trio — Alter Stadtsaal, Rathaushof, Speyer

Daniel Stelter is a versatile guitarist who has collaborated with major names in the music industry since his teenage years. At seventeen, he toured with the Bundesjazzorchester under Peter Herbolzheimer, studied jazz guitar with Norbert Scholly in Mainz (where he now teaches), released his first album in 2009, followed by five more. Television viewers may know him from "Sing meinen Song - das Tauschkonzert" or from "TV Total" (from the studio band Heavytones). Among the artists he has worked with are Al Jarreau, Ringsgwandl, The Boss Hoss, Annette Louisan, Nils Landgren, Thomas Quasthoff, Chris de Burgh, Vicky Leandros, and Lulo Reinhardt - this list perfectly illustrates the musical versatility of this exceptional guitarist.

His latest album "Wooden Songs" celebrates the material from which all guitars are made: wood. A return to basics. Stelter's classically tinged, almost singing style on the classical guitar finds its complement in the creative and experimental playing of drummer Tommy Baldy, who has collaborated with Stephan Eicher, Söhnen Mannheims, Xavier Naidoo, and Rebakka Bakken. The duo is completed by bassist, singer-songwriter, and arranger Michael Pauckers, who comes from the Mannheim jazz school. He was awarded prizes at a young age and has played in many ensembles, including the live band of Thomas D (Die Fantastischen Vier). He currently serves as musical director and arranger for the TV music show "The Voice Kids". An evening of congenial artistry awaits.
