Poetry Slam for under-22s at Atze Berlin, right on Amrumer Strasse in the Wedding district. Whether it's thoughtful verse or funny stand-up - anything goes, as long as it's made of words. Three rules apply: 1. Only self-written texts 2. No props 3. A time limit - in this case 5 minutes. The twist: none of the performers is older than 22. The line-up is open, so you can simply sign up in advance. As the youth slam within Berlin's Kiezpoeten shows, "Poetry Slam der Jugend" is aimed squarely at teenagers and young adults. Your topics. As an audience member, you can expect a varied programme with texts that hit close to home - written by people who know what your life looks like. Not every piece will be polished to perfection, but every single one will be completely authentic.
