Mondscheintarif
based on the novel by Ildikó von Kürthy

With: Alice Katharina Schmidt
Directed by: Julius Max Ferstl
Set design: Elena Wittbusch
Dramaturgy: Ella Elia Anschein

Cora Hübsch is 33 and meets the love of her life, Daniel, under humiliating circumstances at a film awards ceremony. They catch each other's eye, like what they see, and the dating game begins! We all know how it works. There are rules designed to stop the other person from thinking you actually need them. Cora leaves nothing to chance - above all, the timing of a call or a callback must be strategically perfect. She's already been on two dates with Daniel; now it's Saturday night and he said he'd be in touch. A woman of composure can of course enjoy her evening perfectly normally and wait for Daniel's call without a care. Or maybe not. An evening exploring how much SELF is necessary - and possible - in the frenzy of dating.

Ildikó von Kürthy was born in 1968 in Aachen. She trained at the Henri-Nannen-Journalistenschule in Hamburg, worked as an editor at "Brigitte" and "Stern", and in 1999 published "Mondscheintarif" as her debut novel. Since then she has written nine more novels, three non-fiction books, and a children's book. "I have basically never stopped describing what I see. I used to do it for my blind father; now I do it for everyone who wants to read it."
