Yet our genius could not refuse an invitation from an old acquaintance, the Baroness von Zuckerberg, to a gala dinner. While you enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal in the adjoining restaurant room, we are here unraveling a mystery.

Fleeing from his dinner companion, the endlessly chatty Swabian Baroness, the detective barely misses the apparent murder of the host's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.

Admittedly, his health had seen better days. But to suddenly topple face-first into maultaschlesupp is hardly the gentlemanly way to go, even in Swabia. For Sherlock Holmes, however, what had been a tediously dull evening is now saved.

A case in local dialect awaits - an exceedingly tricky one at that, for the autopsy results seemingly rule out any poisoning whatsoever. Questioning the witnesses, the medical examiner, and some of the dinner guests leaves many an innocent soul in the room looking suspiciously guilty. With vigor and good humor, the famous detective sets his little grey cells to work. Swabian cunning spreads through the room, yet no charlatan can fool the master. For him, the solution soon becomes clear. As always, however, he leaves us fumbling in the dark for a while before brilliantly exposing the murderer.
