Gala Concert at Thomaskirche Erfurt

Antonio Vivaldi's celebrated cycle "The Four Seasons" ranks among the most frequently performed masterworks in European music history. The four concertos, originally composed in 1725 for the orchestra of a Venetian orphanage, continue to captivate audiences with their vivid expressiveness, lively musical language, and boundless energy.

The music takes listeners on a journey through a colourful world of nature imagery - from the awakening of spring, through dramatic summer thunderstorms and autumnal festivities, to a quiet winter landscape. Each season unfolds its own character, drawing the audience into an emotional musical journey.

Alongside the famous "Four Seasons", the first half of the concert will feature works ranging from Boccherini to Mozart.
