Arktos, a terrible snowman, seeks to cover the world in ice. The old dragon Tyrion prepares his young son Tabaluga for his destined mission - to protect the world. But first, Tabaluga must find the True Fire to end Arktos's schemes.

Tabaluga sets out with the support of a magician. Along his journey, he faces many dangers, including the spider woman Tarantula, but also discovers beautiful things. He learns that the world, with all its good and evil, is worth saving. Yet Arktos will not give up. From pure ice, he creates a beautiful being - the girl Lilli, whose only task is to distract Tabaluga from his mission.
