The theme of community runs as a common thread through this year's Köthener Bachfesttage. In the opening concert, the Köthener BachCollektiv sets some of Bach's group concertos against solo music and arias.

The programme includes excerpts from the cantata "O holder Tag, erwünschte Zeit" (BWV 210), the Concerto for Oboe d'amore (BWV 1055), and the 4th Brandenburg Concerto (BWV 1049).
