9. Nottbecker Sommernacht - sounds of nature

Under the theme "Sounds of Nature", the Nottbecker Sommernacht returns to Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck in Oelde for its ninth edition. This open-air concert series has long been one of the region's cultural highlights of the summer.

This year, a range of ensembles from the Warendorf District School of Music take the stage: the Grand Symphony Orchestra with flute soloist Lena Beitelhoff, the girls' choir "Himmelsstürmer", the youth jazz band "Smarties", the choir "ConTakto" conducted by Claudia Lawong, and the string ensemble "Saitensprünge".

True to the "Sounds of Nature" theme, the programme spans a wide range of genres and styles - from Beethoven to Toto - all connected by the subject of nature. Artistic direction and hosting for the evening is handled by Uta Rathmer-Schumacher, director of the Warendorf District School of Music.
