Gartengenuss: "Das grüne Kleid" with Hermann Mensing - Reading and Café (Coffee & Cake Included)
Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck, Oelde, Germany
20 €
Hermann Mensing is a poet, writer, and dramatist who creates verses, stories, radio plays, theatrical works, and novels. His texts blend the political with the poetic, mirror everyday life, and surprise readers. After early children's books (from 1984 onwards), he has primarily addressed adults, beginning with his first novel "Pop Life" (2005).
"Das grüne Kleid" tells the story of Paul and Charlotte - a love story that should never end, until fate decides otherwise: first a grandchild, then illness. The novel unites life and death on equal footing, evoking laughter, tears, and curses, and gazes upon mortality with serenity.
Mensing reads among the fruit trees of Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck; afterwards, coffee and cake await in the cultural café (included in the price). The event is part of the "Gartengenuss im Münsterland" series in cooperation with the association "Das Münsterland - Die Gärten und Parks".
