Luise F. Pusch: "Gegen das Schweigen. Meine etwas andere Kindheit und Jugend" - Reading and Conversation

Feminist linguist Luise F. Pusch was born in 1944 and grew up in Ostwestfalen with her single mother. From 1963 she studied English, Latin and general linguistics in Hamburg. As a lesbian woman in a homophobic society, she faced many painful and violent experiences. At the same time, she built a successful academic career, receiving various scholarships and awards, and in 2025 was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit. She has been publishing books since 1981; her most recent, "Gegen das Schweigen. Meine etwas andere Kindheit und Jugend", came out in 2022.
