Hans im Glück - Interactive Fairy Tale Theatre - Open Air Performance

Hans receives a large lump of gold from his master. Now comes his challenge: "Go out into the world and prove yourself." Hans cheerfully lets go of everything that burdens him, trading the gold for a horse, a cow, a pig, a goose, and a whetstone. He experiences things that cannot be bought with gold and discovers that happiness comes only to those with free hands. Eventually he tosses the stone into a well. Freed from all cares, Hans returns home. Now he knows: "Happiness visits only those who are completely open to it."

Participatory theatre is a special form of theatrical performance in which an experienced actor tells a fairy tale while embodying various characters and roles. Children can actively participate. They can call out their thoughts and ideas to the performer on stage, who spontaneously weaves these impulses into the story. Moreover, children can take part in the action on stage at many points! This creates an interactive and lively theatrical experience between the narrator and the children.
