Sleeping Beauty - Interactive Theatre - Open Air (Schloss Hubertus)
Gasthof Schloss Hubertus, Erfurt, Germany
11 €
The royal castle has only twelve golden place settings. One of the fairies therefore cannot be invited to Sleeping Beauty's birth celebration. That fairy curses the child. The twelfth fairy manages to soften the curse: Sleeping Beauty does prick her finger on the enchanted spindle, but instead of dying she falls into a deep sleep. An impenetrable thorn hedge grows up around her castle. Many princes try to break through it... in vain. Only the prince who arrives at the right place at the right time will see the thorns turn into roses - and he alone can wake Sleeping Beauty with a kiss.
We present this fairy tale as an interactive theatre show. What makes it special: a single actor, accompanied by live music, tells and performs the entire story, slipping in and out of all the different characters. Children don't just listen - they actively take part. They can call out their thoughts and ideas to the actor on stage, who weaves them spontaneously into the story. At several points, children can even come up on stage themselves and play with props! The result is a lively, one-of-a-kind theatrical exchange between the storyteller and the audience.
This is a unique production for the whole family by Johannes Galli, with music composed especially for the show by Johannes Galli and Michael Summ.
A CD featuring all the fairy-tale songs from the show (including playback versions and lyrics) is available from us after the performance.
