The Bakery Brothers

A brother duo, two voices, many strings.

The Bakery Brothers - Johnny and Basti - have covered a lot of ground in their musical careers. As recipients of the IBMA's "International Band Performance Grant", they completed a five-week US tour with the bluegrass quartet Johnny & the Yooahoos, taking the stage at venues like the "Grand Ole Opry" and the "Greyfox Bluegrass Festival". As part of the rock & roll band Midge's Pocket, they also played major German hippie festivals such as the "Burg Herzberg Festival" and appeared on the BR late-night show "Ringlstetter".

Time and again the two brothers return to their acoustic duo format: folk, old time, country, bluegrass and the occasional dash of rock & roll - delivered in two-part harmony with a wide range of stringed instruments.
