Songs & Stories live Part 2 - The Greatest Hits and Their Stories - New Programme and New Songs!

Manni Müller (drums, vocals) and Stephan Weiser (piano, vocals) present acoustic interpretations of great world hits in their new programme - and tell the stories behind them. Individually selected for each show: songs by Sting, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, U2, Eric Clapton, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Wonder, Oasis, Supertramp, Joni Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel, The Eagles, Amy Winehouse and many more.

Many people know the melodies - but often not the stories of how they came to be. Sting's "Every Breath You Take" sounds like a love song to many, yet it tells of an obsessive stalker. What did Oasis really mean by "Wonderwall"? What does a yellow taxi have to do with environmental protection? What is Bono still searching for? Which unknown woman inspired three world hits? The answers come sometimes amusing, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes surprising - and often with remarkable contemporary relevance.

With his modulating voice, Müller brings out the specific timbre of each song; Weiser's piano playing between pop and melodic jazz carries the partly multi-voiced singing. The press writes: "A unique musical journey!"

"My songs are like my children. I discover something new in them every day!" (Sting)
