When Wüstenberg takes the stage, the air charges instantly. Franz Wüstenberg and his six-piece band blend explosive sonic force with warm, delicate folk in a sound that is all their own. The decision to start fresh was made in an old stone house from 1880 - more energetic, more honest, more vulnerable, fully himself. His twangy voice paints vivid pictures of setting out, of fighting one's own demons, and of a world shot through with magic.
After a successful decade as frontman of The O'Reillys and the Paddyhats, Wüstenberg opens a new chapter - one that pairs the big, crunchy sound of electric guitars and driving drums with the more intimate textures of fiddle, mandolin and piano.
Following last year's 17-city tour as Special Guest of Fiddler's Green, their debut album The King's Gambit was released in February 2026.
