K4Y: Pony in a Suitcase

Ages 5 and up, approx. 45 minutes

"You never win the top prize!" - or so Auntie says. But of course the children do win the pony! Now they have to smuggle it home past hotel porters, train conductors, and Auntie herself. Because grown-ups always know best. Or do they?

An adventurous journey begins, where not only suitcases pile up but problems too. Along for the ride: Aunt Charlyn, two puppets, and one very round pony.

Dorothee Carls is a graduate of the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin, department of puppet theatre. Since 2006 she has worked as a puppeteer in various engagements, including at Puppentheater Erfurt and theater junge generation (tjg) in Dresden, as well as independently with her own productions and in free theatre groups such as Theater Urknall and Ensemble die exen.
