Description was written before the event

Peter Lehel's Finefones Saxophone Quartet performs in Pforzheim on Saturday, 26 September 2026 at 19:00 in the Evangelische Schlosskirche St. Michael. This is one of two German dates for the ensemble. The saxophone quartet, without drums or harmonic instruments, presents the pure sound of four saxophones in a program dedicated to John Coltrane. The late-Gothic church from the 15th century, connected to the history of the Badense margraves, provides an unusual setting for this intimate project. Admission 22 €.

About the venue: Evangelische Schlosskirche St. Michael

The Evangelical Castle Church of St. Michael in Pforzheim is a late-Gothic hall church closely tied to the history of the Baden margraves. Built in the 15th century, it served as the burial site of the Baden ruling dynasty for generations. Today it hosts church services, concerts and cultural events, and its medieval architecture - including notable funerary monuments - draws visitors from across the region.
