Singet dem Herrn

Thomanerchor returns to Weißenfels on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at 19:30 to St. Marien with a choral programme combining works by Heinrich Schütz, Johannes Brahms, and Moritz Hauptmann. This marks a return after 28 years - the ensemble visits two German cities this year, and Weißenfels holds particular significance due to its connection with Schütz, who was born and baptised here. St. Marien is a late-Gothic hall church dating from the 14th century, still closely linked to the composer's legacy. Admission: 14 €.
