Noise Circus - A Sound Performance for Four Electric Guitars

Flickering lights, flying guitars and pulsing bass: welcome to the NOISE CIRCUS by The Interstring Project.

This experimental electric guitar quartet ditches cables and effect pedals to stage its new programme as a sound performance somewhere between a progressive rock show and contemporary dance.

For each composition (works by Katarina Gryvul, Lou Kilger, Francisco Uberto, and original pieces) the four musicians developed movement sequences together with choreographer Ria Rehfuss that mirror the qualities of the music in three-dimensional space: running as if in ecstasy, moving like video game characters, or tightly intertwined in eternal slow motion.

NOISE CIRCUS is about the joy of playing and organised chaos - expressive performance, immersive lighting design and the distinctive sonic world of The Interstring Project combine for a striking audiovisual event.
