The Stadtpark - Fürth's Secret Love

The people of Fürth know it and love it - for strolling, jogging, or simply unwinding: their Stadtpark. Its history is more eventful than you might expect.

The grounds next to the Auferstehungskirche were once a cemetery before being transformed into a park. In 1951, on the occasion of a horticultural show, it took on its current form - shaped largely by the then director of the city's parks department, Hans Schiller.
