The story unfolds in the fictional Bavarian village of Hinterdaxlfing - until the mayor is found murdered. Police chief Anton Gumpendobler launches the investigation: armed with a typewriter in a suitcase, a box of snacks, and a village community full of suspects. What does Eulalia Turmschreiber have to do with it all, and how deeply is she involved in the council's schemes?
