Family Concert 1 - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

Everyone can whistle it - that cheerful, bouncing melody that opens "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", which Mozart wrote as an already seasoned composer in his early thirties. Yet for a long time, nobody knew it at all. Why? How did it get its title? What is a minuet? Where did Mozart borrow from others? And what part did his Constanze play?

Conductor Jason Weaver and KiKA presenter Juri Tetzlaff take the audience on a mystery tour: as musical detectives, they crack the secrets Mozart left behind in this classical whodunit. And what will the Göttinger Symphonieorchester actually play? You get three guesses!

Suitable for ages 6 and up.
