"Indien" is one of Austria's most successful films - a tragicomedy by Josef Hader and Alfred Dorfer, sitting somewhere between Gerhard Polt and Loriot. NEUE GLOBE THEATER relocates the story to the Brandenburg countryside, staging a contemporary piece for the first time.

Kurt Fellner, a field inspector for the local tourism office, sets off on a work trip with his colleague Heinz Bösel, a restaurant inspector: one tests the beds, the other the schnitzels. What starts as a tour through the provinces turns into a story of male friendship - drinking, arguing, making up.

In NEUE GLOBE THEATER's production, live-sung schlager hits from German popular entertainment are woven into the show, performed by a singer in the style of Kurt Krömer.
