"Delight" Poznań Boys' Choir - a cappella from Baroque to Pop

The Poznań Boys' Choir performs at Nikolaikirche Rostock with an a cappella evening spanning works from Baroque to contemporary pop. The choir is regarded as a cultural ambassador of Poland and has performed in the USA, China, and numerous European countries.

Forty singers come from Poland's only choir school and combine the powerful sound of a male choir with angelic soprano voices and soloists. Artistic direction is led by Dr. Jacek Sykulski - conductor, composer, and arranger, who has been honored with the Golden Cross of Merit of Poland for his work.

The programme ranges from a cappella works by Johann Michael Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, and John Trott, through 13th-century melodies, to motets by Rachmaninoff, Łukaszewski, and Sykulski. It is complemented by pop melodies in original arrangements - including "The Lion King" and "Ameno" - as well as folk songs from Poland and Germany.
