"Delight" Poznań Boys' Choir - a cappella from Baroque to Pop

The Poznań Boys' Choir appears as a cultural ambassador for Poland, bringing the musical traditions of its homeland to northern Germany. The famous voices from Poznań present an evening of singing full of unique brilliance and captivate audiences worldwide with their incomparable sound and repertoire. They have previously performed in the USA, China, and many European countries.

Composed of forty voices, the choir originates from Poland's first and only choral school and impresses with its powerful male choir sound as well as angelic soprano voices and soloists who, under the direction of conductor Dr. Jacek Sykulski, develop a distinctive and unparalleled tone.

The hallmark of the Poznań Boys' Choir is bespoke works by Sykulski himself. The conductor, composer, and arranger is internationally sought after in the choral scene and has been honoured for his achievements with, among other distinctions, Poland's Golden Cross of Merit. Under his leadership as choir director, the ensemble represents a modern, forward-looking interpretation of the boys' choir tradition in Europe.

You will experience an impressive range of music from classical to pop: mystical, stirring, and heartwarming a cappella works by Johann Michael Bach, John Trotta, George Frideric Handel, 13th-century melodies, and motets by Rachmaninoff, Łukaszewski, and Sykulski. Pop melodies in unique arrangements such as from "The Lion King" and the world-famous "Ameno," along with beloved folk songs from both Poland and Germany, provide captivating variety.
