ABBEY LANE is the first and only Beatles Tribute Band in Kassel and North Hesse. We play exclusively Beatles compositions - a respectful homage to the magnificent band from the northwestern English port city of Liverpool: undoubtedly the most influential pop and rock group of the 20th century, whose long shadow reaches into the present day.

The four "Pilzköpfe" created timeless music that, even more than 50 years after its creation, remains fresh and inspiring - not only for older musicians and listeners. Especially in countries like England, Ireland and the USA, Beatles songs are part of the standard repertoire of bands and singers in pubs and clubs. This so-called "light muse" has become true folk music. It is the new classic and will undoubtedly be passed on to future generations.

Since 2017, ABBEY LANE has consisted of four musicians of different ages united by a passion for the creative heights of The Beatles. Our programme naturally includes great hits, but also many hidden treasures from the almost 300 songs by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr: B-sides and compositions that were (almost) unfairly overlooked because of the many hits on the records. At ABBEY LANE concerts, lesser-known pieces stand on equal footing with the megahits. ABBEY LANE does not see itself as one of many cover bands, does not perform an uninspired and dusty oldies show, and audiences at our concerts will look in vain for costumes and wigs. We are an ambitious and playful band with an exciting repertoire that sounds fresh and lively - also thanks to the lesser-known pieces it contains.
