Marking the 25th anniversary of Concerto Gandersheim's founding, Bach's H-Moll-Messe opens the Dommusiktage festival. The ensemble has invited musicians with whom it has collaborated closely over the past years - performing together with the newly established chamber choir Concerto Vocale Niedersachsen.

In collaboration with HARZ FIRE Biennale on the theme: Island Bach.

About the venue: Stiftskirche

The Stiftskirche in Bad Gandersheim is a Romanesque collegiate church dating back to the 9th century, one of the oldest and best-preserved sacred buildings in Lower Saxony. It was the church of the imperial abbey of Gandersheim, closely tied to the canoness Hrotsvit, the earliest known German-language poet. Today it serves as a venue for the annual Gandersheim Cathedral Festival (Gandersheimer Domfestspiele), staging theatre and music performances in its historic setting.
