On the open-air stage of Orangerie Theater

On a stormy night, Ronja is born. Her parents Mattis and Lovis and the entire robber band burst with joy - and at the same moment, in the camp of the rival Borka gang, a child is born: Birk.

Ten years later, the rift between the two families runs deeper than ever. Yet while the adults remain locked in conflict, Ronja and Birk discover a quiet, powerful friendship during secret journeys through the forest - and their spring cry rings out.

Following "The NeverEnding Story", "Momo" and "Lotta Can Do Almost Anything", "Ronja Räubertochter" is the fourth joint production by the directing duo Erfort & Kraiss. Once again, nature becomes a co-creative force in the staging - the open-air stage at Orangerie Theater serves as the backdrop for grey gnomes, wild witches, bald Per and the friendship between Ronja and Birk. Only two actors take the stage: Eva Marianne Kraiss and Theresia Erfort. Lioba Wagner creates an art installation that makes Astrid Lindgren's world visible; pianist Daniel Sojunow accompanies the staging live.
