The Mousetrap

A woman is murdered in London. Police search for a person "of medium height in a dark coat, light scarf and felt hat" - but on this freezing winter day, such descriptions fit many. Mollie Ralston and her husband Giles open the inherited Monkswell Manor near London as a guest house.
As snow falls more heavily, worries mount: will the pipes freeze? Will there be enough food if they become snowed in? Despite the snow-covered roads, the expected guests arrive - complete strangers with wildly different personalities, now forced to stay together for an indefinite time. The snow cuts off any hope of departure.
When police send a sergeant on skis, tension rises. The next body soon follows. Who will fall into the mousetrap: the killer or the next victim?
THE MOUSETRAP has run continuously since 1952 and is considered the longest-running stage play in the world. For performance rights we thank Concord Theatricals GmbH on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
