In his musical cabaret show "Musik macht schlau! (außer manche)" ("Music makes you smart! - except some people"), award-winning Berlin pianist and cabaret artist Christoph Reuter takes us on a tour through the world of music. His witty and insightful musical lesson tackles some questions of profound importance to humanity: Does listening to Mozart actually make you smarter - and will I finally understand Einstein's theory of relativity, or at least my mother-in-law? We'll put that to the test. Why can I never remember the second verse of "O du fröhliche" but can perfectly recall every stupid thing my colleague said last week? Reuter addresses all this and more in his new programme - with music by Bach, Mozart, Avicii and Miles Davis. "Musik macht schlau! (außer manche)" will show you that you are far more musical (and perhaps smarter?) than you think.

Christoph Reuter is the winner of the Thüringer Kleinkunstpreis 2017 and the Leverkusener Kleinkunstpreis 2022. For over fifteen years he has accompanied Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen on piano. In 2025, his second book "Musik macht schlau! (außer manche)" was published by Heyne Verlag.
