Shamrock - Irish Folk & Scottish Music

Shamrock has been a fixture on the Irish folk scene between the rivers Inn and Salzach for over three decades. The cult band from Chiemgau plays rousing rebel songs alongside tender love ballads, humorous everyday tales, and lively jigs and reels from the Emerald Isle and the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands.

The band consists of five musicians: Claudia (banjo, bouzouki, guitar), Maj (fiddle, flute, mandolin, tin whistle), Valej (bodhrán), Jonny (cajon, wooden spoons, percussion), and Tom (bass, guitar). As a tribute to Irish and Scottish tradition, all five perform on stage in classic skirts - the women and the men alike, who appear in colourful kilts with typically Irish (Tom & Valej) and Scottish (Jonny) tartans.
