In 2026, the Kammerorchester Freising marks its 40th anniversary with a full symphonic lineup and a programme spanning the breadth of those four decades. Christoph Eglhuber, who reformed the orchestra in 1986, has led it ever since; highlights of its history include the "Feuerwerks" open-air concerts on the Marienplatz, a millennium New Year's Eve concert, and Mozart's Figaro.
The anniversary concert stretches from the 18th to the 20th century, featuring works by Mozart, Rossini, Schumann, and Gershwin. Lukas Kuen of the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks joins as soloist.
Programme:
Giacomo Rossini: Overture "La Gazza Ladra"
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Piano Concerto in C minor KV 491
George Gershwin: "Rhapsody in Blue"
Robert Schumann: Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major op. 97 "Rhenish"
