Poetry Slam with Marvin Suckut — Kulturufer Friedrichshafen, Friedrichshafen

When words become a stage and language becomes an experience, it's time for Poetry Slam. In this modern battle of poets, humour meets depth, quiet moments clash with loud punchlines, and personal stories collide with social commentary. The slammers bring their own self-written texts - sometimes lyrical, sometimes political, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny.

Line-up:

Aileen Schneider (Frankfurt)
Hochkultur meets Raprhythmen - trained opera director Aileen Schneider is, alongside her theatre career, the 2022 Hesse champion and 2024 Rhineland-Palatinate vice-champion in Poetry Slam, as well as a playwright and host. On stages across Germany she creates her own superhero characters, regularly channelling personal experience into socio-political commentary.

Jasmin Haas (Graz)
Jasmin Haas (b. 1991) is a slam poet from Graz who has been performing in Austria and Germany since November 2022. She is best known for deeply personal texts drawn from her own life, inventive wordplay, and a knack for ending even heavy subjects on a note of courage and positive energy.

Skog Ogvann (Leipzig)
For Skog Ogvann, poetry is the best way to get through life with a smile. Writing his often darkly comic poems gives him enough distance from reality to be just a little less afraid of it.
"If you fall onto a power plant and it gets shut down because of that, does it make you an environmental hero?" asks Skog Ogvann in one of his poems. If you want to hear more questions like that - without any answers - don't miss his set.

Marvin Suckut (Esslingen)
Marvin Suckut was born on 8 November 1989 in Stuttgart. He launched his writing career in 2009 by winning the Baden-Württemberg U20 Poetry Slam championship. Since then he has clocked up more than 1,500 performances.
