Once per season, the First Steps format gives the dancers of the Landestheater Coburg ballet company the chance to bring their own choreographies to world premiere. It goes beyond movement alone: they can also get creative with set design, costumes and lighting, developing their individual artistic voice. First Steps serves as a platform for young choreographers to experiment with different dance styles and movement languages and try out new concepts. The musical range is equally broad - from classical and pop to hip-hop.

Now in its 14th edition, Ballett Coburg presents First Steps "why not?" - a showcase of the diversity and expressive power of dance, free, unfiltered and without limits.
