Theaterkolletiv RaumZeit - Konradine and Effi - A Story of Friendship by Hannah Valentina Röhrich
Cargo Theater im H15, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany
25 €
At Carnival, Konradine and Effi meet. Both are dressed as insects - Konradine as a bug with pink dots, Effi as a ladybug. What a connection! They decide to become pen pals first. But soon Effi visits her new friend in her large garden. They pick pomegranates from the tree, drink lemonade, admire Konradine's insect collection, and tease the neighbour's boy Viktor. They invent their own games, behave wonderfully crazy in action and speak with childish poetry. But then Viktor teases them, suggesting they must be a couple. While everything suddenly makes sense to Konradine, Effi abruptly pulls away.
Konradine, a few years older but still happy in her garden, tells us while tidying the garden shed about this great friendship that unexpectedly became a first love. She brings the child's world of emotions back to life. Effi disappeared from Konradine's life. But what remained are beautiful memories, a quiet melancholy, and the certainty that it is always worth giving your whole heart for love.
The play is suitable for ages 9 and up.
This is its German premiere.
