At the New Year's Eve concert in 2025, the Freiburger Barockorchester caught audiences off guard with an unexpected sound: within just a few bars, an irresistible "band feeling" took hold and the ensemble transformed into a tonally captivating big band - on period instruments. That high-energy side of the FBO now takes centre stage in a new programme at Freiburger Münsterplatz. Music from a range of genres, clever arrangements and a palpable joy of playing add up to an evening of great entertainment, good spirits and genuine summer vibes under the open sky. Sitting still may prove difficult - dancing is very much encouraged.
