He addresses a humanistic misinterpretation of how we treat refugees and well-integrated people in our society, drawing on the case of a long-time employee with a work permit who was arrested and deported from a Passau pub (Goldenes Schiff). How do we treat people who perform solid work in important, hard-to-fill sectors, are well integrated, yet are deported through stricter measures? We can do better.
