The Magic Flute - Opera by W.A. Mozart

Lindauer Marionettenoper presents Mozart's "The Magic Flute" on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 at 4 p.m. on the island of Lindau above Lake Constance. The puppet opera runs 140 minutes with an intermission, in German with supertitles in German and English. This is one of nine German dates on the Die Zauberflöte tour. The theatre, founded in 1991, is renowned for its precise animation technique and full operatic productions performed entirely by puppets. The Lindau staging deliberately sidesteps the countless interpretations the work has undergone over more than two centuries-here the opera unfolds in a fairy-tale world. Admission is 27 euros.
