Rusalka - The Little Mermaid - Opera by Antonín Dvořák

Dvořák's "Rusalka" in a puppet production by Bernhard Leismüller arrives in Lindau (Bodensee) on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 at 4 p.m. at Lindauer Marionettenoper. The performance runs 130 minutes with an intermission and is sung in German with subtitles in German and English. Leismüller, who designed the puppets, scenography, costumes, and directs the work, brings this three-act opera to German audiences across three dates-the Lindau performance is the second of these. The tale of a mermaid and a prince unfolds on stage through handcrafted marionettes, each visual element created in the artist's workshop.
