The Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) is launching a new format: on 29 and 30 August 2026, the Kia Metropol Arena in Nuremberg will host the first-ever qualification event for the Liebherr Pokal Final4 of the 2026/27 season.

On Saturday, 29 August, the round-of-16 matches of the German Table Tennis Cup will take place across two sessions running simultaneously on four tables. The eight winners then face off in the quarter-finals on Sunday, 30 August - two sessions, two tables. In total, twelve TTBL teams and four sides that qualified through the cup preliminary round will compete.
