Doppelkopf - A Musical Comedy Evening

An evening packed with music and melancholic wit, written by Ulf Dietrich for Giovanni Rupp and Stephan Vanecek. The two actors play impersonators preparing for a performance as Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe in the shabby canteen of a car dealership. One of them has been playing his role as "the most erotic promise of their generation" for half an eternity and identifies far too much with his idol. The other is stepping into the role of "Ol' Blue Eyes" for the first time. A spirited evening that also tells the story of life in the second row.

Fundamentally, though, Doppelkopf is a cheerful romp through the "Great American Songbook", to which Monroe and Sinatra made their lasting contribution.
