The programme features concerts, shows, a medieval market, the Weißenfelser Oldtimer Rally, a parade, disco and more. The festival runs for four days on the market square and throughout the historic old town. It opens with a classical concert and concludes with a fireworks display.

Parking in the city centre is limited, so visitors are encouraged to arrive on foot, by bicycle or using public transport.
