Gezeiten - Lieder und Poesie
Fischhalle Harburg, Hamburg, Germany
15 €
An evening with singer-songwriter Reinhard Wilkens
Before the artist moved to North Frisia, he spent seven years calling Harburg's inner harbour his home. Many of his songs and poems were born here, by and on the water.
The vast northern landscape and the rhythm of the sea keep feeding him new ideas. It was also on the coast that he rediscovered the language of his family: Plattdütsch, Low German.
For this guest performance he opens a chest full of music and poetry. His own texts move gently between High German and Low German - sometimes sung with guitar accompaniment, sometimes spoken aloud. They tell of days in the harbour, of a fresh start in the north, and of the eternal play of ebb and flow, because everything has its time. As a perceptive observer, he captures the stormy and tender sides of love and life, moving effortlessly between reflective moments and a wink of humour.
An evening to pause, listen, and laugh together.
