This observation has shaped the artist's entire body of work: whether engaging with the music of Mikis Theodorakis, interpreting the tangos of Astor Piazzolla, or as on this evening, presenting her own compositions and texts - intensity and emotion always take centre stage.

Alongside pieces from earlier albums, Julia Schilinski presents new, intimate compositions from her current album project, set to be released later this year. The album's title, "Encounters," is also the name of the programme on 27.09. at Fischhalle Harburg. At the heart are songs and chansons exploring what it means to be human, woven together with the playing of her long-standing band.
