About: The Mountain Goats

John Darnielle's Mountain Goats have spent 30+ years crafting some of indie rock's most sharply written songs, and their live shows - raw, wordy, and often cathartic - turn even mid-sized venues into something close to a communal ritual. With a new album due in August 2026 and a European tour lined up for October, the band arrives in peak form.
