Yami Cruz Montero is a pianist and composer from Cuba who has lived in Munich for many years. Together with Cuban violinist and composer Jenny Peña and Greek jazz drummer and composer Christos Asonitis, she creates an evening that blends classical music, jazz, and Cuban traditions.

Europe and Africa are the roots of Cuban culture - from this synthesis emerged musical genres such as Son, Danzón, and Rumba. The programme features compositions by Andrés Alén, Aldo López-Gavilán, Jenny Peña, and Yami Cruz Montero, as well as well-known pieces such as El Manisero by Moisés Simons.
