Lisa Fitz - Avanti Dilettanti! - "Tina Turner of Bavarian Satire"
Stadthalle Donzdorf, Germany

The "Tina Turner of Bavarian Satire" sings, parodies, hits hard and carries the audience along!
You meet them everywhere: the dimwits who drive you to despair and quiet, seething rage.
There are the clueless operators on hotlines, the snippy receptionists at doctors' offices, the brick-wall bureaucrats at government agencies, and not least the politicians churning out such volumes of absurd nonsense that you have to stop shaking your head to avoid brain damage. Incompetent answers, mental immaturity, grumpy contemporaries, dull nerve-shredders and time-wasters, the ignorant, the arrogant, the smug... "The main cause of stress is daily contact with idiots," Albert Einstein once said. And stress has become a widespread condition of our times... Yet it really could be different, couldn't it?!
Absolutely. But for that, some eyes would need to open - theirs and our own. And when the bumbling dilettante inside ourselves stares back from the mirror, the moment for genuine greatness arrives with the insight: "I know that I know nothing."
One thing is certain: AVANTI DILETTANTI! (roughly translated: "Forward, amateurs!")
The press writes:
"What makes watching and listening to Lisa Fitz such a great pleasure is: first, her masterful art of sharpening a message while staying dialectally impeccable; second, the time-efficient directness and economy of her thoughts; third, her ability to analyse with razor precision and serve the result like carpaccio - raw, but delicious; and fourth, her boundless energy from the first to the last minute. She is so far ahead of those she takes on that one can rightly call her the 'Tina Turner of Bavarian Satire'. Because singing - as she also proves on this evening - she does as well and as thrillingly as ever. Thunderous applause with a mental embrace is her reward." (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
