MOMO.'s music has always resisted easy categorization, blending influences from Música Popular Brasileira (MPB), Tropicália, Afrobeat, folk rock, psychedelia, and jazz - and the album Tum Tum Tum is no exception. The record flows seamlessly between moods and sonic textures: from the warmth of precise bass lines, through frenetic percussion, to powerful brass and floating strings. It reflects a career in which MOMO. has absorbed everything around him - from fado in Lisbon, through the jazz scene in London, to the psychedelic currents of 1970s Brazil that originally shaped him.

His gentle voice and intricately crafted guitar lines form a golden thread, transforming delicate melodies into the sound of an artist with a deep understanding of his own musical identity.

More than twenty years into his career, MOMO. views this album as a tribute to the past two decades: "This album is a poetic elegy, a wink, a memory of twenty years of making music," he says. "The repetition of craft, resilience, and the rhythm of constant growth and hard work."

This career has taken him through Brazil, Angola, the USA, Spain, Portugal, and now to the United Kingdom. As MOMO. himself puts it: "Everywhere I've lived, I've absorbed what surrounded me and connected with different musical languages." And not just musical ones - the album is sung in Portuguese and English.

Tum Tum Tum is warm, expansive, and self-assured - the work of an artist who has remained true to his craft long enough for it to become something instinctive and entirely his own.
